OUR STORY
Our journey began in graduate school, where my husband, Erik, and I both pursued our master’s degrees in Interior Architecture and Design. As we advanced in our careers, we found ourselves on complementary paths - Erik specialized in the technical side of design and seamless execution on-site, while I thrived in client coordination and project management.
We collaborated more frequently as word of our work spread, and we soon realized that we wanted to create our own studio. Every project is a story of its own, a collaboration between designer and client, resulting in aesthetically-pleasing spaces perfectly suited to one’s lifestyle and needs.

Meet the creative duo behind Erik Betina Design
BETINA DIMACULANGAN
INTERIOR ARCHITECT & DESIGNER
Betina Dimaculangan is a San Francisco Bay Area Interior Architect and Designer with over a decade of experience.
Inspired by her parents (contractor dad and interior designer mom), she knew at a young age that she wanted a career in design – leading her to establish her own studio.
She became a licensed architect in 2016 in her home country, the Philippines, and later finished her Master's in Fine Arts in Interior Architecture & Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She honed her skills at renowned firms where she gained expertise in managing various projects.
Betina's design approach is rooted in creating spaces that blend aesthetics with functionality, elevating the quality of life of her clients. With a portfolio spanning residential and commercial projects across San Francisco and Manila, she has remained true to her brand promise each time - creating personalized sanctuaries.
In her spare time, she travels to explore different cultures. She also has a huge interest in fashion and art.
ERIK ZANG
INTERIOR ARCHITECT & DESIGNER
Erik Zang brings a unique blend of expertise to the table with an undergraduate degree in civil engineering and a Master’s in Fine Art in Interior Architecture and Design.
In his career, he has played a key role in numerous residential projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is knowledgeable in building codes and the technical side of architecture and has proven his passion for construction and project management through his string of timely-completed projects.
With his knowledge, experience, and dedication to transforming spaces into personalized environments, he continues to enhance the lives of his clients.
An avid sports fan, he plays basketball on weekends and is a budding golf enthusiast. He goes on outdoor trips for relaxation whenever he can.
